Staff Accountant - Payroll

45-55K and 15% Bonus

Role

This is a highly visible full time position that heavily interacts with corporate accounting, treasury, and the financial department. As a Staff Accountant, you'll be reporting up to a Controller to help with the general ledger accounting as well as oversight over payroll functions. This would include managing the accounting for commissions, incentives, deductions, 401K elections, perform general ledger for payroll, accruals, reconciliation, tax reporting, payroll projects, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Controller with general ledger, accruals, reconciliation, tax reporting, etc.
  • Perform payroll analysis as well as commissions, incentives, 401K elections, etc.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Work on special payroll projects - continuous improvements, controls, procedures, update policies, etc.
  • Manage the W2 year end process as well as the year end 401K audits
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, and other operations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
  • 0-3 years of accounting experience, payroll experience is a plus. Internships and CO-OPs will be considered.
  • Desire to get certifications - CPA, CPP, etc.
Compensation

A very competitive compensation package will be available for this position including base salary, monthly and annual bonuses (typically 15%+ annually), medical, dental, vision, 401K, profit sharing, wellness programs, vacation and sick time, paid holidays, employee growth, educational trainings and certifications, etc.

Working Situation

This is Hybrid situation with 4 days in the office - Monday, Tues, Wed, Thurs in office.
