Role Description

The Revenue Clerk is a full‑time, on‑site role located in ClaytonAL, responsible for supporting the accurate recording and management of county revenues. Day‑to‑day tasks include processing payments, posting receipts, reconciling revenue accounts, and maintaining detailed financial records in accordance with established procedures and regulations. The role involves entering data into accounting systems, preparing routine financial reports, and assisting with audits and end‑of‑period closings.

The Revenue Clerk will also respond to inquiries from internal departments and the public, verify documentation, and support other finance and administrative functions as needed.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Accounting Software and basic Finance tools used for revenue tracking and reporting.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Bookkeeping and Accounting for maintaining accurate ledgers and transactional records.
  • Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to follow standardized procedures and regulations.
  • Proficiency with office productivity software and data entry.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and interact professionally with the public.
  • Previous experience in a government, finance, or office environment is beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
