Overview
The Agricultural Operations Coordinator supports day-to-day field and warehouse activities essential to high-quality crop production and seed management. This role plays a key part in evaluating crop maturity, maintaining accurate seed inventories, and ensuring smooth operational flow during planting and harvest seasons. The coordinator works both independently and alongside agricultural teams, often in outdoor environments, to uphold safety, efficiency, and product quality standards across all agricultural operations.
The duties listed below are representative of the types of responsibilities required for the role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the organization:
- Collects representative crop samples and performs maturity and quality testing using approved tools and procedures.
- Retrieves and coordinates the return of unused seed from contracted growers, ensuring proper documentation, handling, and reintegration into facility inventory.
- Conducts seed inventory reconciliation at the end of each contracted crop cycle to maintain accurate records and accountability.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe seed warehouse, supporting efficient workflow and compliance with safety standards.
- Assists with the pickup and delivery of parts, supplies, and materials required for harvesting and field operations.
- Works in diverse outdoor conditions, performing tasks that require prolonged walking or standing and safely lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds of crop samples.
- Travels as needed, up to 60 miles from the plant location, to support field operations and grower interactions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support agricultural production, logistics, and operational efficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; relevant experience or demonstrated proficiency through prior work or training is acceptable.
- Ability to operate a forklift; current forklift certification required.
- Valid and clean driver's license preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 60 miles from the plant location.
- Willingness to work extended or irregular hours during peak agricultural seasons.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, reliability, and effective teamwork.
- Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and maintain accurate records.
