Agriculture Service Provider - Mechanic / Technician (Sprayer & Dry Application Equipment)

Independently performs diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer‑owned agricultural equipment with emphasis on sprayers and application equipment. Candidates require a strong work ethic to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Communication skills are required to clearly articulate aspects of work being performed to a customer in a courteous manner. This is an excellent opportunity for a self‑motivated individual interested in working for an established dealership.

• Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and established Precision Ag products, sprayers, dry box units and other application units.
• Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
• Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submission of information.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Conducts and supports customer clinics.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Participates in the JDU Training program required for development of skills and knowledge.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Overnight travel may be required at times.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Preferably one year of experience performing Ag equipment service repairs.
• Basic understanding of chemicals used in the application industry.
• Basic knowledge of application rates and requirements.
• Experience with basic computer functions.
• Work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of application equipment.
• Must have an adequate tool set to perform job responsibilities.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's license.
• DOT Medical Certification and be able to maintain as required.

Compensation for this position will be based on experience.
