St. Louis County's Department of Revenue seeks an Accounting Services Specialist to join their Accounting team. This position will perform a variety of complex accounting support functions including analysis of data, maintenance of accounting tickets and emails, and preparation of summary reports within general accounting. The well-qualified candidate will be able to make decisions without close review by a supervisor.

- Interpret, verify and record information, and process documents based on technical and accounting knowledge of relevant policies, statutes, ordinances and codes.
- Monitor customer service portal and inbox to ensure Accounting tickets and emails are properly routed for prompt resolution.
- Support Accounting staff as applicable.
- Maintain ledgers and records of funds received from sources to ensure the maintenance of proper records and reimbursement.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Equivalent to three years of experience in an accounting related environment.
- The work rules for the Department of Revenue require all employees, whether they reside in St. Louis County or elsewhere, to remain current in the payment of their personal and real property taxes.
- Preference may be given to applications with work experience in the public sector or government.
