Substitute Teachers

Central Christian School is seeking individuals who love Christ and love children to serve as substitute teachers on a day-to-day basis when our faculty members are absent. Prior teaching experience or training is welcome but not required. Opportunities to substitute are in our PreK through 6th Grade classrooms, as well as in our specialist classes including Art, PE, Spanish, Music, Library, and Innovation Lab.

Our teachers will prepare lesson plans for you to implement in their absence.

Upon hire, candidates may designate what grade levels or content areas they are comfortable serving as a substitute teacher.

All candidates should have a demonstrable Christian commitment and alignment with our school’s mission and vision. Substitute teachers at Central should be committed to leading a classroom environment that fosters the spiritual, cognitive, and social-emotional development of students.

Qualifications:

• A profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• A member of a local, Bible-teaching Christian church
• Completion of at least two years of college
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Eagerness to serve in a Christian learning environment
• Eagerness to foster a classroom community where students feel welcome, safe, welcome, and respected
