Job DescriptionThe Library Information Specialist position will perform the following circulation and access services duties:
- Check materials in/out
- Assist library patrons with inquiries or other needs that arise
- Monitor and enforce library rules
- Maintain a safe environment for patrons and library staff
- Implement emergency procedures and protocols as needed in coordination with the library security officers and campus police
- Manage stacks maintenance (re-shelving, shelf-reading, weeding, and assessing damaged materials), ensuring collection health, space for growth, and a user-friendly browsing experience
- Responsible for general supervision of the library building during daytime hours, including opening the building Monday through Friday
- Submit work orders to the Facilities Management Department for building maintenance repairs or other issues
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in libraries.
- Experience supervising student workers.
Salary Range: $17.40-$23.85
