The School District of Clayton is seeking a Campus Supervisor for Clayton High School. The Campus Supervisor position includes a variety of supervisory duties requiring initiative, independent judgment, and decision-making within established policies. Duties frequently require the discreet and tactful handling of confidential material, and interaction with the staff, parents, students, and community.
Position SummaryThe Campus Supervisor manages various aspects of student attendance and behavior, including absences, tardies, detention assignments, and disruptive behavior.
Reports ToAssistant Principal
EssentialJob Duties
- Notifies parents and students regarding detention notices for unexcused absences and tardies.
- Manages list of missing or owed detention for missing classes or behavioral and discipline issues.
- Escorts students out of class for disruptive behavior and to serve detention.
- Monitors student behavior in the commons, hallways, and recreation center.
- Manages disruptive behavior, fights, and de‑escalations.
- Performs substitute teacher duties somewhat regularly.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
- An associate's Degree is preferred.
- Substitute teaching, CPS, First Aid, and Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention training and certification are preferred.
- Ability to communicate with diverse ages and populations.
- Understanding of human development and how to manage behavior.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate standard office and classroom equipment.
- Required to occasionally move objects weighing up to 30 pounds around the workspace.
- Requires travel to multiple work sites within the District using reliable, personal transportation.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A Missouri Substitute Certificate is preferred.
Experience2–3 years of training and/or experience working with adolescents and young adults.
Compensation$16.83–$22.79 per hour
