The Senior Financial Advisor will work closely with the Partner and other Advisors on the client team to provide comprehensive financial advice to our clientele of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. This position requires a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) designation and will work with partners to assess clients’ financial situations, develop personalized financial plans, and recommend appropriate investment strategies, insurance products, and retirement planning solutions.
The role demands strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships, as well as proficiency in financial analysis and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of financial markets and products, along with a commitment to ethical standards and continuing education to maintain their CFP® certification.
- Work closely with the Partner teams and serve as subject matter expert to the firm on all aspects of the financial planning business
- Maintain frequent communication with the Partner on team and client issues
- Lead client meetings to understand their financial goals, needs, and risk tolerance through comprehensive consultations and assessments
- Prepare and/or review financial action plans and projections compiled by team members
- Facilitate services for clients including investment management, retirement planning, education planning, tax and accounting services, insurance planning, banking and cash management, business planning, estate planning, and philanthropic strategies
- Develop and source new business with prospect and referral pipeline
- Participate in testing new technologies for the firm and apply complex testing skills utilizing financial planning expertise
- Help to lead firm and team in strategic planning discussions and execute vision
- Assist team to enhance training and deliver information in a format understandable by the client
- Teach systems knowledge and efficiency within Moneta University learning management platform
- Collaborate with the Partner to carry out marketing and business development opportunities
- Participate in Moneta Executive Mentorship program as well as provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team members
- Conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports, as well as assist in interviewing and hiring team members
- Travel as necessary to meet with clients
- Certified Financial Planner® (CFP), and/or Certified Financial Analyst® (CFA), (minimum of one required to be registered)
- A Series 65 or combination of a Series 7 and Series 66 licensingisrequired within 60 days of hire if a CFP or CFA designation is not previously held
- Bachelor's degree required
- 10 or more years of relevant and progressively more complex experience, in one or more of the seven subject areas defined by the CFP board.
