Position: IT Manager – Application Delivery and Load Balancing

Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented IT Manager – Application Delivery and Load Balancing.

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to a highly technical team of engineers within a Global Connectivity Engineering organization. Your primary function is to lead, coach, and develop your team as they drive the design, implementation, and optimization of load balancing solutions that support enterprise-wide applications and services. You will focus on setting vision, fostering collaboration, removing obstacles, and ensuring alignment with business and IT stakeholders.

You will also be responsible for managing performance, career development, and team culture—including hiring, training, mentoring, rewarding, and recognition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Management: Build, coach, and grow a high-performing team of network engineers through mentoring and career development.
  • Culture & Accountability: Foster a culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration across IT and business functions.
  • Technical Communication: Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and bridge business priorities with engineering execution.
  • Performance Oversight
    :
    Own team performance management, hiring, training, and recognition.
  • Strategic Direction: Define and drive team objectives, ensuring solutions meet business needs for resilience, scalability, and security.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee team delivery of network designs, architectures, and related project plans.
  • Vendor Partnership: Partner with vendors and procurement to shape strategic direction, evaluate solutions, and contribute to contract reviews.
  • Modernization Initiatives: Lead initiatives to modernize delivery platforms, integrate automation, and enhance observability across the application delivery stack.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship.
  • Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or the immediate surrounding area and work within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
  • 6+ years of relevant IT Leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of strong leadership experience with the ability to build, mentor, and empower high-performing technical teams.
  • Experience defining and managing IT projects and familiarity with product lifecycle best practices.
  • Experience in strategic planning, incident/risk management, and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience leading IT teams in large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.
  • Experience managing the delivery of high-availability IT services, focusing on performance optimization and scalability across complex systems.
  • Proven track record of building strong vendor and partner relationships.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Knowledge of core networking (Route/Switch, Firewalls, DNS, DHCP, IPAM) and basic cloud networking or security principles.
  • Experience using service management tools such as Jira, Big Picture, or Service Now.
