Overview

Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented IT Manager – WAN Engineering. Do you have experience leading networking teams in large-scale enterprise environments?

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will lead our WAN Engineering team, providing strategic guidance and direction to a group of skilled network engineers. You will focus on coaching and developing your team to design and deliver resilient network solutions that align with business requirements. Your primary impact will come from setting a clear vision, fostering a collaborative culture, and removing obstacles to ensure engineering excellence.

You will manage performance, career development, and hiring while bridging the gap between business priorities and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership &

    Coaching:

    Build and mentor a high-performing team of network engineers, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Strategic Oversight: Define and drive network engineering objectives, ensuring that all architectures and designs are resilient, scalable, and secure.
  • Stakeholder

    Collaboration:

    Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and partner with leaders across the IT organization to ensure alignment.
  • Vendor Management: Partner with external vendors and procurement to evaluate solutions, shape strategic direction, and contribute to contract reviews.
  • Project Delivery: Oversee the delivery of network designs and project plans, ensuring they meet the needs of the business while managing risks and escalations.
  • Performance Management: Own all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including hiring, training, 1-on-1s, and recognition programs.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship.
  • Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or the immediate surrounding area.
  • 6+ years of professional IT experience.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience (responsible for 1-on-1s, development, and performance reviews).
  • Proven experience leading networking teams in large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.
  • Experience defining and managing IT infrastructure projects using tools like Jira, Big Picture, or Service Now.
  • Strong familiarity with data center and enterprise network technologies (Routing/Switching, LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wireless).
  • Proven track record of building strong vendor and partner relationships.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience specifically leading teams that design and implement branch network infrastructure.
  • Deep technical understanding of WAN and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Experience leading teams responsible for remote access solutions.
  • Proficiency in creating reporting and dashboards within service management tools.

Pay: $ - $/yr.
