You will join one of our 45 offices in the U.S., becoming part of a team of over 1,500 professionals dedicated to shaping the world around us. As a General Superintendent within our Construction Practice, you will provide leadership and oversight for multiple industrial construction projects serving Food & Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, Life Sciences, Advanced Technology, and Manufacturing clients. The General Superintendent serves as the senior field operations leader, partnering closely with Project Directors, Construction Managers, Project Managers, Safety Managers, and client leadership teams to ensure successful execution of projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, schedule, and field productivity.
This role provides direct leadership and mentorship to Superintendents and field staff across multiple projects and geographic locations.
- Provide overall leadership and oversight of field construction operations across multiple projects and job sites.
- Establish and maintain consistent project execution standards, safety expectations, and quality requirements across all assigned projects.
- Lead, mentor, train, and develop Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field personnel.
- Evaluate field staffing needs and coordinate resources to support project demands.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex construction, schedule, safety, and subcontractor issues.
- Partner with Project Managers and Construction Directors to develop project execution strategies and recovery plans.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
- Provide strategic oversight for multiple industrial construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, schedule adherence, quality performance, and safety metrics.
- Conduct regular site visits and field audits to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
- Review and support development of site logistics plans, staffing plans, and construction sequencing strategies.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to mitigate schedule, quality, or budget impacts.
- Ensure consistent implementation of project controls, documentation, and reporting processes.
