Job Overview

Provide primary health care in specialty areas such as pediatrics, OB/GYN and adult medicine.

• Perform diagnostic, health assessment, and patient care management duties.
• Review patient charts and follow up.
• Provide education to patients and staff.
• Work under the direction and consultation of a physician.

• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

• Registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Advanced training and experience acquired through a Nurse Practitioner program in a relevant specialty area and three years of related experience.
• Some positions require licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of Missouri.
• Some positions require certification as an Adult Medical Nurse Practitioner (ANP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
• Some positions require certification as an Obstetrical and Gynecological Nurse Practitioner or equivalent.
• Some positions require certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Some positions require certification as a Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner.
• Some positions require certification as a Diabetic Educator by the American Diabetic Association.
• Some positions require Document of Recognition as an Advance Practice Nurse (APN) by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
