Job DescriptionHealth, Counseling, and Disability Access Services is seeking aStaff Nurse at an active university health center. University Health Services is an ambulatory care clinic staffed by a healthcare provider and staff nurse who collaborate with physicians from various disciplines. The department is committed to providing integrated and effective medical, mental health, health promotionand public health services for the University’s student body.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, symptomevaluation, and initial triage
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccines within scope of practice and provider orders
- Assist with clinical procedures and support provider service delivery
- Coordinate patient care activities, including follow-up,referrals, and continuity of care
- Provide patient education related to health conditions,treatments, and preventive care
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate relevantfindings to providers
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the health recordsystem
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection control standards, and institutional
- Support clinic operations by assisting with patient flow and clinical workflow coordination
M-F, 8am-5pm
Minimum QualificationsCompletion of an approved nursing program and licensure (or eligibility to be licensed) as an RN within the state of Missouri.
Preferred QualificationsOne year of professional nursing experience in ambulatory care,primary care, college health, public health, urgent care, orrelated clinical setting.
Anticipated Hiring Range$26.45-$31.25
