St. Michael the Archangel Regional School is seeking a joyful and inspiring middle school science teacher who strives for academic excellence and has a desire to help our students develop their personal relationship with Jesus.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated science instruction, including regular guided experiments, to 5th through 8th grade students
• Create a joyful, academically challenging learning environment.
• Integrate Catholic faith and values into daily lessons and classroom activities
• Witness and model the Christian faith through daily interactions, actively sharing personal faith experiences and guiding students in developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Create and maintain a positive, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love of learning, by developing relationships with students and using classroom management techniques that affirm the dignity of all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student success and contribute to the overall school community
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide events, such as back to school night, parent conferences, open houses, and fundraisers
• Advise an extracurricular activity or club

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• New Jersey teacher certification (Standard, CEAS, or CE), or out-of-state equivalent.
• Pastor’s letter attesting to the candidate’s active practice of the Catholic faith.
• Completion of fingerprinting clearance and VIRTUS training.
• Commitment to promoting the Catholic mission and values of the school.

• $35,000-$44,000, based on experience and certification.
