Estimator, Construction, Civil Engineering

Delcid Erosion Control, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented
Estimator
to join our growing team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive bids for erosion control, landscaping, and horizontal/site development projects. The Estimator will work closely with company leadership, project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to support successful project bidding and execution.

• Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Develop competitive bids for commercial, residential, municipal, and government projects.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, project risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Assist with proposal preparation and bid submissions.
• Track bid opportunities, bid calendars, and estimating documentation.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and project teams to clarify project scope and pricing.
• Support project turnover by reviewing estimate assumptions with Project Managers, Director of Field Operations.
• Maintain historical cost data, unit pricing, and material pricing databases.
• Occasionally travel to project sites and pre-bid meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of estimating experience in erosion control, site development, landscaping, heavy civil, or general contracting.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing detailed cost estimates.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with Bluebeam, Plan Swift, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Heavy Bid, Procore, Sage Estimating, Trace Air or similar software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.

• Experience estimating NCDOT, municipal, county and/or state projects.
• Knowledge of erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, and site development.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
