Accentuate Staffing has partnered with a global manufacturing organization that is expanding its advanced production capabilities and is hiring an Automation Engineer II to support next-generation automated production systems. This organization is focused on building innovative, high-tech manufacturing environments designed for long-term scalability, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance in a highly controlled industry. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale capital projects and play a key role in shaping the future of advanced manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in automation engineering, process control systems, and project execution within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will focus on ensuring new equipment and systems meet global standards, supporting system reliability improvements, and collaborating across cross-functional and global teams. Candidates should have experience with PLCs, SCADA/DCS systems, and MES platforms, along with the ability to drive continuous improvement and support validation and compliance efforts.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to design and implement automated process systems that meet internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop, maintain, and improve process control systems, including establishing automation standards, specifications, and maintenance strategies
- Coordinate with equipment vendors and internal stakeholders to define system interfaces and ensure successful equipment integration and startup
- Plan and execute system improvements and maintenance activities in alignment with production schedules and operational goals
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives as a subject matter expert for automation and control systems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methodologies while supporting training, documentation, and change management processes
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience in automation or process-based manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong experience with automation technologies including PLCs, SCADA/DCS systems, MES platforms, and industrial data systems
- Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and execute initiatives within a regulated manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver complex automation solutions
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma and structured problem-solving approaches
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable plans and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
