Duties and Responsibilities

As a Process Consultant at NNE, you will play an important role in the design and optimization of pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing processes. Working alongside experienced engineers and subject matter experts, you will contribute to projects from concept development through detailed design and implementation. Key Responsibilities
  • Process Design & Engineering:
    Develop process engineering deliverables including process flow diagrams, process descriptions, equipment specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Project Execution:
    Execute assigned engineering tasks throughout conceptual, basic, and detailed design phases while meeting project quality, budget, and schedule expectations.
  • Technical

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, vendors, and subject matter experts to develop practical and compliant process solutions.
  • Problem Solving & Analysis:
    Analyze technical challenges, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions to support client objectives and project success.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvements, and best practices that enhance project delivery and customer value.
Required Qualifications
  • Willingness and ability to be based in Clayton, working in an agile, fast-paced, project-oriented environment that supports both customers and colleagues.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or related regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting process design activities including process calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with customers and project teams.
  • Possess a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Continuously expand technical capabilities through project experience, learning opportunities, and feedback.
  • Experience with commissioning, qualification, validation, or process optimization activities is a plus.
