IT Technician

Piper Companies is seeking an IT Technician to support a leading technology infrastructure organization. The IT Technician will assist with onsite hardware support, vendor escorting, equipment transportation, and IT room operations. This IT Technician role is ideal for a dependable individual who enjoys hands-on technical work in a fast-paced environment. The IT Technician is a 6 month contract opportunity and requires you to work onsite 5 days per week in Clayton, NC.

Responsibilities of the IT Technician:

• Escort vendors and suppliers to secure IT rooms and monitor onsite activities.
• Pick up, deliver, and transport IT equipment between warehouses, trailers, and job sites.
• Install, replace, and support hardware within IT rooms and related environments.
• Maintain equipment inventory and document hardware movements.
• Follow site security procedures and support ongoing infrastructure projects.

Requirements of the IT Technician:

• Experience with IT hardware support, installation, or deployment preferred.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment safely.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between local sites.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to security protocols.

Compensation for the IT Technician:

• $55,000 - $100,000 based on experience
• Full Comprehensive Benefits:
