Since 1976, Tekni Plex Healthcare, located in Clayton, NC, has been producing medical tubing for a wide range of medical device applications including IV therapy, respiratory, dialysis, anesthesia, diagnostic and surgical equipment. Tekni Plex is hiring a Production Operator 1st Shift (Collection, Packaging, Inspection) for our Clayton, NC facility. We are actively recruiting for individuals who have a passion for producing a quality product that saves thousands of lives every day.

1st Shift Production Operator (Collection, Packaging, Inspection)

Monday - Friday

7:00 am to 3:30 pm plus overtime as needed

Pay for this position is $22 an hour

• Collect and package product in compliance with customer and quality specifications.
• Perform setup, changeover and initial line clearance for assigned production line.
• Inspect product for defects and deviations using measuring devices (i.e. dial caliper, gauges, micrometer, etc.).
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to maintain complete and accurate production records.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical.
