The PositionPerform sanitization of aseptic processing area (APA) clean rooms and maintain adequate stocks of cleanroom supplies.
RelationshipsReports to Supervisor/Manager.
Essential Functions- Maintain aseptic areas & perform sanitizations & environmental monitoring
- Actively participate in & support event response
- Review & provide input to SOP’s & other documents, as required
- Train fellow employees in areas of expertise & aggressively learn systems & equipment outside of own area of expertise
- Record/review data in BPR’s & associated forms utilizing good documentation practices (GDP)
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Other accountabilities, as assigned
Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights.
Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Occasionally positions oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks.
Does not require a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's Degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in manufacturing industry, FDA regulated preferred. (Requirement can be waived with Bio Works Certification, or minimum of an associate degree in related field) preferred
- Aseptic processing experience a plus
- Ability to read, write & understand complicated product documentation & standard operating procedures with attention to detail preferred
- Proven expertise in planning/organizing, managing execution, checking results & revising work plans a plus
