Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine NC

Join our team as a Locum General Medicine Provider, delivering essential health assessments and veteran care across North Carolina. This vital role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while maintaining a flexible schedule tailored to your availability.
In this position, you will conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments through interview-based evaluations and limited physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment is involved, making it an excellent opportunity for experienced general medicine practitioners to contribute military veteran care efficiently.
Required Skills- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
- Proven clinical experience in general medicine or related specialties (family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic, etc.)
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills for interview-based exams
- Ability to work independently with a professional demeanor
- Excellent organizational skills for documentation and reporting
- Prior experience with compensation and pension evaluations
- Familiarity with veteran health assessment procedures
- Certification in relevant medical specialties or additional training relevant to military or veteran healthcare
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher in Nurse Practitioner programs
- At least 2 years of clinical practice experience in general medicine or related fields
- Experience with administrative duties related to clinical assessments is a plus
- Own office space within North Carolina with reliable internet and necessary equipment
- Ability to perform assessments on a PRN basis, with flexible scheduling (half-day or full-day shifts)
- Willingness to work in multiple locations across specified regions, with travel expenses covered
- Valid certification and licensure in North Carolina
Compensation for this role is highly competitive, with an hourly pay rate of $402.00.
