Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Environmental Technician. You will join a dedicated team and be responsible for working on site for the client, helping them manage their hazardous waste programs. This highly motivated, detail-oriented, customer service-focused individual will support hazardous waste handling, waste collection, and compliance activities at a client site in Clayton, NC.

• Process hazardous waste streams (approx. 50% of total workload) – including handling pallets and drums (up to 1,000 lbs with mechanical assistance), lifting empty trays (up to 35 lbs), and managing physical hazards such as force, bending and twisting.
• Re-packaging waste for off‑site destruction and operating material shredder for on‑site destruction.
• Operate forklift to move supplies (25% of workload) – move drums (up to 35 lbs), load/unload containers, and assist with loading recyclable material onto trailer.
• Communicate and schedule non‑hazardous waste pick‑ups (less than 10% of workload) – include compost, plant trash, mixed recyclables, food waste, Styrofoam, baled recyclables, scrap metal, construction waste, and wooden pallets.
• Oversee on‑site confidential document shredding and escort subcontractors/drivers to work locations.
• Conduct eyewash/safety shower inspections, cage staffing, and general housekeeping activities (less than 10% of workload).
• Collect hazardous and non‑hazardous waste streams delivered to the CAA, dispose of them in appropriate containers, record container IDs, replace full containers, and ensure RCRA compliance within the CAA.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Self‑motivated with a desire to learn.
• Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination, drug and alcohol screening.
• This is a safety‑sensitive position.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
• Willingness to consent to motor‑vehicle record screening, criminal background check, pre‑employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC). After employment, random drug screening (inclusive of THC) will be required.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.
• Regular handling of hazardous chemicals and biological waste, including putting on and removing personal protective equipment.

• Prior relevant industry experience.
• Active HAZWOPER 24‑ or 40‑hour certification.
• Willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
