Maintenance Technician – Trainee

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on process equipment and support systems
• Troubleshoot and perform corrective maintenance on process equipment and support systems
• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System to document maintenance activity
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, job plans, and equipment manuals
• Adhere to cGMP, safety, and environmental procedures
• Issue and complete job hazard analyses and safe work permits
• Maintain required training curriculum
• Complete required maintenance qualifications
• Assist with modification, installation, and startup of new and existing equipment
• Develop mechanical maintenance knowledge and skills for the assigned area
• Maintain pumps, rotating equipment, high-purity piping, valves, WFI systems, filtration systems, chromatography columns, steam systems, heat exchangers, and material-handling equipment

• Trainee:
  High School Diploma or Equivalent plus 2 years of experience in maintenance, manufacturing, mechanical trades, or utility equipment operation
• A technical Associate's degree may substitute for the trainee experience requirement
• Tech 1:
  Associate's degree in a relevant technical field with 2 years relevant experience
• Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements
• Knowledge of utility systems preferred
• Basic understanding of industrial valves, pumps, piping, and systems
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Experience using personal computers, Windows applications, and web-based programs
• Ability to read and interpret files, drawings, catalogs, reports, and manuals
• Strong mathematical skills
• Understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practice requirements
• Understanding of industrial plant safety and environmental requirements
• Ability to meet occupational demands, including heavy lifting, standing, walking, climbing, confined-space entry, PPE use, and exposure to manufacturing hazards

Demonstrates expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance of process equipment, adhering to cGMP and safety standards. Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and interpreting technical documentation.
