Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care while maintaining professional standards as a Registered Nurse – Medical Progressive Care Unit (MPCU).

Position Details
  • Full‑time, part‑time, or night shifts.
  • Non‑Exempt employment type.
Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality, patient‑centered care to adults with complex medical conditions.
  • Conduct frequent assessments, continuous monitoring, and specialized nursing support.
  • Utilize the nursing process in all aspects of patient care.
  • Work collaboratively in a mission‑driven environment aligned with Mercy’s values of service, dignity, justice, excellence, and stewardship.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state‑specific).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Previous experience in medical progressive care, medical‑surgical, telemetry, or other progressive/acute care settings (preferred).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtained within a specified timeframe).
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification (if applicable to patient population or unit protocols).
