The Title Clerk Manager oversees the full lifecycle of vehicle title and registration processing for All Four Leasing. This role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely handling of all title work, supervises title staff, maintains strong relationships with state agencies, and supports internal departments including sales, finance, and accounting.
Responsibilities- Oversee processing of all vehicle titles, registrations, tax/title documents, and Certificates of Origin.
- Ensure all title work complies with federal and state regulations, verifying accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and manage lists of outstanding title work; resolve missing or problematic titles.
- Submit all legal transfer work to state DMV agencies and track status.
- Stay current with title laws, regulations, and updates; attend training sessions as needed.
- Supervise, train, and support title clerks; cross‑train staff for full coverage of title duties.
- Conduct training for sales and F&I teams regarding title regulations and updated procedures.
- Coordinate with sales and finance departments to gather required documents and ensure complete deal jackets.
- Support accounting team with title‑related fees, dealer trades, payoff checks, and contract processing.
- Assist customers with title inquiries, registration questions, and lien release documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all title, registration, and lien paperwork.
- Prepare weekly or monthly reports on outstanding titles, compliance issues, and processing status.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professionalism when handling title or registration issues and customer escalations.
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of automotive title clerk experience, including supervisory responsibilities preferred.
- Strong understanding of DMV title processing, regulations, and multi‑state requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems, Microsoft Office, and digital title platforms.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
