Position Details:- Schedule:
Monday - Friday, varying between 6:00am-6:00pm (No more than 8 hours in one day). - No nights, weekends, or major holidays!
As a Vacation Relief Teacher, you’ll step in to support classrooms when teachers are out sick or on vacation. You may be placed primarily in one department (infants-twos or preschool), but you’ll also help in other age groups if needed. Your role is essential in keeping our classrooms running smoothly and ensuring children continue to receive high-quality, loving care.
You’ll assist with daily routines such as supervising play, feeding, diapering/toileting, cleaning, and supporting children’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs. You’ll follow the schedule of the classroom and maintain consistency with established routines, expectations, and safety practices. Strong communication and flexibility are key—every day may look a little different, and being able to jump in with a positive attitude makes all the difference.
Please Note:A genuine love for children of all ages - and a lot of patience - are must-haves. This role is incredibly rewarding, but the pace and variety can be demanding. If you’re not passionate about working with young children or adjusting to different classroom environments, this may not be the right fit.
What we're looking for:- Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to pass a fingerprint and background check through Utah Childcare Licensing (a one-time fee is required).
- Obtain a valid Food Handler’s Permit.
- Available Monday through Friday.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to get).
- Must be physically able to stand, walk and actively engage with little ones throughout the shift.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Willing to obtain CDA credential throughout the first year of employment (We offer supports and training!).
- Love working with children and helping them grow.
- Have a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Are reliable, punctual and a true team player.
