Color Designer​/CMF

Lifetime Products, located in Clearfield, Utah, designs and manufactures consumer products for major retailers around the world, including Sporting Goods, Lawn & Garden, Water Sports, Play Sets, and Tables & Chairs.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Color Material Finish Designer to join our research and development team. As an integral part of our design process, you will be responsible for creating compelling, brand-aligned color, material, and finish solutions that elevate product design, desirability, enhance user experience, and ensure feasibility from concept through global production. Experience in consumer hardgoods is a plus.

• Forecast global color, material, and finish trends across multiple categories including Sporting Goods, Lawn & Garden, Outdoor Recreation, Play Systems, and Tables & Chairs.
• Present CMF strategies, trend and inspiration reports, including user archetypes and mood boards to stake holders.
• Create detailed CMF specification sheets, including color and color pallet naming, in collaboration with Marketing, Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
• Ensure first article part CMF integrity from specification to production.
• Guide our global color lifecycle management across all categories.
• Maintain a physical CMF library to promote collaboration and inspire elevated design.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree in CMF/Industrial Design.
• Design Expertise:
  Proven track record of CMF conceptualization and implementation across product categories.
• Excellent presentation skills in creating compelling CMF presentations that influence and inspire.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Keyshot, and CMF visualization tools.
• Portfolio:
  Demonstrated CMF storytelling, conceptualization, and production execution.
