Northrop Grumman is seeking either a Principal or a Senior Principal Facilities Engineer Level 3/4 - (Nights) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located in Clearfield, UT .

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Will schedule contractors and give provide SOW.

  • Will take ownership of equipment - writing PM plans, responsible for critical spare parts

  • Annual E-FMEA on assigned equipment.

  • Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects, and resources.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill being that this position is cross functional and engages other team members.

  • Responsible for communication for machine downtime.

  • Support operations IPT.

This position may be filled as either a level 3 or level 4 depending on qualification below

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Facilities Engineer (Level
3):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) with 5 years of Engineering experience in the following engineering fields:
    Power Systems, Power, Electrical, Electronics, Construction, Mechanical Design, Engineering, Design, Facilities, Operations, Aerospace, Control OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in mentioned fields OR PhD in STEM with 0 year of experience in mentioned fields.

  • Must be a US citizen.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access.

Sr. Principal Facilities Engineer (Level
4):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) with 8 years of Engineering experience in the following engineering fields:
    Power Systems, Power, Electrical, Electronics, Construction, Mechanical Design, Engineering, Design, Facilities, Operations, Aerospace, Control OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in mentioned fields OR PhD in STEM with 3 year of experience in mentioned fields.

  • Must be a US citizen.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting high-rate manufacturing facilities from a maintenance function.

  • Experience with industrial automation equipment (Robots, conveyors, machining centers, etc.)

  • Troubleshooting electrical controls and 24 volt systems.

  • Knowledge of Beckhoff, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Kuka, Fanuc.

  • Experience with VFD’s as well as servo controlled systems.

  • Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and make the revisions as required.

  • Experience managing spare parts and FMEA’s

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects, and resources.

  • Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).
