The intern will assist MARS staff to research tasks related to advanced materials fabrication and development. The intern will fabricate parts, prepare test specimens, perform experiments, collect and analyze data, and prepare summary reports.
Required Qualifications- Pursuing graduate work in Engineering or another related STEM field
- Shop tool experience, additive manufacturing, composite materials, CAD experience, coding, Microsoft Office
- Self‑motivated, able to commute to MARS Center in Clearfield, Utah, capable of lifting 50 pounds overhead
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM related field
- Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, fingers
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible force frequently to move objects, sitting most of the time, walking and standing only occasionally
- Sedentary work; no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions
