Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager
2. This position will be located in Clearfield, Utah. This Mission Assurance Manager will be responsible for all Quality and Mission Assurance activities across the ICBM Sustainment portfolio (under the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division) in Roy, UT and will report to the Launch Systems Mission Assurance Sr Manager. This manager will be responsible for direct leadership of a Mission Assurance Engineering team and matrixed leadership of a Supplier Mission Assurance team who, together, support a broad range of sustainment tasks across many independent task orders and projects on a legacy weapons system, covering design, development, production, and installation of government-directed hardware, software and firmware modifications, systems and sustaining engineering and testing evaluations, repair and maintenance of ground subsystems, assessment of current and anticipated weapon system health and various Environmental Safety & Occupational Health (ESOH/EHS) tasks.

Maintaining overall program compliance to industry and government standards and practices, while tailoring approaches by task order to engage the program teams and mitigate risk on a legacy, but ever-evolving, weapon system is critical to success in this role. What You'll Get To Do:

• Establishing Mission Assurance continuity, vision and direction across a portfolio of projects/programs with competing priorities and resources.
• Providing clear assignments that help employees understand how their work connects to the broader organizational goals, and create an environment that motivates high performance.
• Promoting professional development and training of the MA team while fostering a collaborative work culture characterized by mutual respect, inclusion, and a commitment to innovation, affordability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with program teams to secure proper funding for Mission Assurance tasking across various projects/programs; ensure team executes to plan.
• Leading and participating in root cause and corrective action analyses (RCCA) and failure investigations for high impact issues and mentoring personnel in the use of RCCA for lower-level issues. Execution
• Establishing and maintaining compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Mission Assurance and Global Supply Chain to ensure quality is inherent in every requirement, design, work product, and end-product delivered by Northrop Grumman.
• Identifying potential risks related to hardware and software products and developing mitigation strategies.
• Analyzing and identifying gaps in project/program requirements and helping to drive proactive solutions.
• Managing non-conforming material life cycle (inspection through MRB disposition, customer notification, etc.).
