Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Principal Tool Engineer
- Level 2/3 to join our team in Clearfield, UT. Candidate will be responsible for the concept, design, engineering, fabrication drawings, inspection requirements, procurement requirements, verification requirements, and fabrication support for tooling and equipment for Aerospace applications. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. In this job, you will:

- Bachelor's degree (STEM) with 2 years of professional experience - OR
- Master's degree with 0 years of professional experience.
- No clearance required to start
Demonstrated ability to evaluate vendor and equipment capability and ability to perform required tasks to include production of tooling as well as unique aerospace part production.
• Experience with closed form and FE analysis practices;
Prefer NX, ANSYS and ABAQUS software systems.
• NX modeling experience.
• Finite Element Analysis FEA experience (Abaqus preferred).
Preferred Qualifications :
• Desire, i.e. passion, to build and manufacture support hardware.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects and resources.
• Leadership ability.
• Technical attention to detail.
• Drive and motivation to be proactive in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications Level 3:
- Bachelor's degree (STEM) with 5 years of professional experience - OR
- Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience - OR
- PhD with 1 year of professional experience.
