Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a project manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is on a 9/80 work schedule and will be located in Melbourne, Florida or Clearfield, Utah.
The project manager will support the sustainment IPT and Sub IPTs as a focal point for the GSC organization. They will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
The day‑to‑day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reviewing status of projects and budgets, managing schedules and preparing status reports, assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client‑satisfaction goals, and developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem‑solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
* This is NOT a Manager OR Leadership position*
- Ensures consistency in GSC processes and drafts work instructions and workflows where applicable.
- Acts as a GSC focal with various program IPTs and Sub IPTs.
- Analyzes data and information to accurately build/present program‑level leadership briefings focused on status and critical program milestones.
- Assists with different GSC sustainment initiatives.
- Integrates with various GSC functional organizations.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels. Must be an effective communicator and build relationships with the broader GSC organization and across program IPTs.

- Must have a Bachelor's with 2 years, a Master’s Degree, or a High School diploma/equivalent with 6 years’ experience in Project Management, Program Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Business Management, Proposals, Program Scheduling, Price/Cost Analysis, Program Integration, or other Global Supply Chain related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company to meet its business needs.

- Must have a Bachelor's with 5 years, a Master’s with 3 years, or a High School diploma/equivalent with 9 years’ experience in Project Management, Program Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Business Management, Proposals, Program Scheduling, Price/Cost Analysis, Program Integration, or other Global Supply Chain related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience using SAP, ERP, MRP or other related business software application.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company to meet its business needs.
- Experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Proposal experience with reviewing and estimating various impacts.
- Writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for labor hour impacts.
- Previous experience with FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations.
