DescriptionCommon Oaks Lodging, a division of Concord Hospitality, seeks an experienced hotel leader to manage the soon‑to‑open Studio Res by Marriott Clearfield, UT.
Responsibilities- Act as the primary strategic business leader, responsible for all aspects of operation, including property performance, sales and marketing, profitability, revenue generation, and team development.
- Serve as steward of Studio Res Marriott culture and support brand service strategy.
- Verify service programs are in place and executed (e.g., Service So Memorable).
- Provide real‑time feedback to management and associates on service and operational standards.
- Review and follow up on property GSS scores and comments.
- Create clear lines of responsibility for the management team.
- Walk the property to ensure public spaces, grounds, work and kitchen areas meet sanitation and cleanliness/maintenance standards.
- Manage labor flow between departments to support effective labor budgeting and profitability goals.
- Delegate operations and projects to appropriate levels.
- Prepare for QA audits (daily and pre‑visit activities).
- Leverage sales and marketing advantages over competitor properties.
- Coach and reinforce associate selling strategies.
- Develop innovative revenue streams through property amenities.
- Measure, analyse, and communicate property performance using financial and non‑financial data.
- Manage on‑property controllable costs in rooms, housekeeping, events, and F&B operations.
- Maintain Revenue Management Goals.
- Consolidate reports needed for period‑end review (P&L, accounting scorecard, banking report, etc.).
- Review and work with revenue management reports (Demand Eye Chart, Benchmark Pricing Evaluator, Rate/Value Matrix, STR reports).
- Keep brand leadership team and owners updated on financials, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement.
- Prepare and present reports for owners and executive leadership.
- Conduct annual business reviews and ad‑hoc owner conference calls.
- Conduct associate performance reviews and manage ongoing development.
- Deliver training to associates (e.g., Service So Memorable).
- Conduct day‑to‑day HR transactions supporting the property.
- Facilitate on‑property activities that reinforce Residence Inn culture.
- Minimum three years of hospitality management experience (full, limited, or select service properties). Extended stay experience preferred.
- Experience with Revenue Management and Light Speed.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- Experience supervising, motivating, and disciplining employees.
- Experience hiring and training new employees.
- Ability to work in a high‑energy, demand environment.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Team player with ability to work well under pressure and solve problems.
- Basic knowledge of computers and software, including e‑mail, word processing, and spreadsheet.
- Ability to organize multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
- Ability to manage and direct a staff to perform daily tasks.
- Conversational Spanish beneficial.
