In this position, you will join our Manufacturing Operations Organization within our Aeronautics Systems sector as a Manufacturing Technician — Level 3 supporting our Clearfield, UT site. We’re seeking a hands‑on professional with exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and outstanding interpersonal skills.
This position may be filled at varying shift times including weekdays, nights, and weekends. (shift differential paid during eligible shifts).

Only external candidates and NG employees who are not currently Manufacturing Techs at the Clearfield site may be considered under this requisition.
- Read and understand blueprints
- Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools
- Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
- Perform part‑fitting operations: filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming
- Measure parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
- Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
- Use manufacturing shop controls and systems daily
- Use appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectiveness
- High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, and/or maintenance environment
- Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitive work: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. U.S. Citizenship is required for clearance.
- Must successfully complete and pass the 'ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance' within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business need
- Ability to work any shift
- Current/active U.S. Government Secret level clearance
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
Primary Level Salary Range: $52,700.00 – $87,900.00. The above range is a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers many factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
