This job involves performing and interpreting Ultrasonic (UT) inspections using automated inspection systems and handheld techniques to determine acceptability of composite aircraft parts throughout the manufacturing process for quality and design verification in a fast paced high rate production environment. Requires certification in UT Non-Destructive testing in accordance with regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

* High School Graduate/GED (education will be verified)

* Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment as part of a multi-disciplined team

* Ability to pass vision screen and color blindness test

* Have excellent computer skills

* As needed, available to work off shifts and possible flexible/changing schedules including weekends

* Ability to utilize measuring devices including comparators, micrometers, scales, and calipers

* Ability to read and interpret blueprint and engineering drawings and be able to document non-conformances as required

* Perform physical requirements of the position, including handling/positioning parts in the Ultrasonic inspection fixtures/tanks to perform Ultrasonic inspections

* Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50lbs.

* Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

* UT Level 1 Certification or UT classroom training/experience in operating basic Ultrasonic equipment in progress or completed. Must be able to provide formal training and experience records
* Experience and familiarity with inspection/interpretation engineering requirements of Aerospace or composite parts/materials.
* Experience in Composite Manufacturing/High Output Production
* Experience with multiple brands of flaw detectors strongly desired
* Experience working with Automated Ultrasonic Inspection Systems
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Must be capable of conducting NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a team
* Excellent communication skills are required
* Ability to multi-task
