In this position, you will join our Manufacturing Operations Organization within our Aeronautics Systems sector as a Manufacturing Technician – Entry Level supporting our Clearfield, UT site. We’re seeking a hands‑on professional with exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and outstanding interpersonal skills. This position may be filled at varying shift times including weekdays, nights, and weekends (shift differential paid during eligible shifts).
Only external candidates and NG employees who are not currently Manufacturing Techs at the Clearfield site may be considered under this requisition.
Essential Functions- Read and understand blueprints
- Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools
- Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
- Perform part‑fitting operations: filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming
- Measure parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
- Maintain and modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedure
- Use daily manufacturing shop controls and systems
- Use appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectiveness
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitive work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs; U.S. Citizenship required for clearance
- Successfully complete and pass the ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need
- Ability to work any shift
- Current/active U.S. Government Secret level clearance
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
Primary Level Salary Range: $34,300.00 – $57,100.00. This range represents a general guideline;
Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
