Description

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing Technician
- Coatings 2 or Manufacturing Technician
- Coatings 3 based out of Clearfield, Utah.

What you’ll get to do

As a Manufacturing Technician you work on the next generation composite structures. This job involves the fabrication of composite hardware using methods such as hand layup, bonding, assembly, trimming and final finishing. It will require development of skills to competently perform tasks designed to produce product that meet our customer expectations. Tasks may be in team environments or individual based.

This position may be filled as a Level 2 or Level 3 based on the qualifications outlined below.

Note: Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Technician 2 and 3 are listed below with respective requirements.

Basic Qualifications
  • Manufacturing Technician 2:
    High School Diploma or GED, and 2 years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar).
  • Must have LO (Low Observable) coating knowledge, including materials, processes, and application.
  • Must be able to obtain respirator qualification, including ability to pass respirator fit testing and comply with PPE requirements. Must have the ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Must have pneumatic (air-powered) tools experience and follow standard safe operating practices.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Manufacturing Technician 3:
    High School Diploma or GED, and 4 years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar).
  • Must have LO (Low Observable) coating knowledge, including materials, processes, and application.
  • Must be able to obtain respirator qualification, including ability to pass respirator fit testing and comply with PPE requirements. Must have the ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Must have pneumatic (air-powered) tools experience and follow standard safe operating practices.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • SMI training/certification
    Salary
    • Primary Level Salary Range: $44,400.00 - $74,000.00
    • Secondary Level Salary Range: $52,700.00 - $87,900.00

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
