Compensation
: $30/hr+, negotiable based on experience
Our client is a growing fabrication and metal manufacturing company that builds piping systems and structural steel components for industrial and infrastructure projects, with an expanding footprint in Northern Utah. They're investing in a new production facility and are looking for skilled Pipe Fitters to grow with them.
Your Role:
As a Pipe Fitter, you'll fabricate and assemble piping systems from shop drawings, working closely with the welding and shop teams to keep production on schedule and to spec.
What You'll Do:
- Fabricate and assemble carbon and stainless piping systems from fabrication-level shop drawings; isometric experience is a plus
- Study and review pipe isometric drawings before fabrication, and measure and mark pipe with precision for cutting and fitting
- Assemble and tack weld pipe components and systems to design specifications so they're ready for welding
- Inspect the work area and tools daily, keeping equipment maintained to OSHA standards and materials on hand
- Coordinate with the welding manager and shop lead to keep jobs supplied with the right materials, in compliance with relevant codes and quality standards
What You'll Bring:
- Experience in metal fabrication with hands‑on knowledge of welding, fabrication techniques, and power equipment
- Solid grasp of arithmetic, fractions, decimals, geometry, and basic trigonometry, plus blueprint comprehension
- Ability to read a tape measure precisely and a dedication to quality and craftsmanship
- High school diploma or equivalent, reliable daily attendance, and ability to pass a fit‑up test
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person and be able to work without visa sponsorship
