As the Kitchen Manager at Fat Cats, you'll be responsible for leading our kitchen team to create amazing food experiences for our guests. You’ll oversee ordering, inventory, food preparation, team training, and operational excellence in the kitchen. Your role is to ensure our kitchen operations run smoothly and deliver high-quality food. From supervising the team and maintaining standards to ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, you’ll be hands-on in the kitchen. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Assistant General Manager and the General Manager to meet goals and mentor your team to grow within their roles.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Train team members on proper preparation techniques, portioning, and service standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, cleaning schedules, and sanitation practices.
- Manage inventory, food production, and service efficiency.
- Conduct daily shift meetings and regular one-on-ones with the kitchen team to align goals and performance.
- Foster a positive, collaborative kitchen environment while mentoring team members for professional growth and development.
We’re seeking a Kitchen Manager with 1–2 years of leadership experience and 3+ years in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, a passion for teamwork, and a commitment to service excellence. Key qualities include a personable yet professional demeanor, proven leadership and communication abilities, and high emotional intelligence for effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
Familiarity with kitchen operations software and current food safety certifications (SERV Safe and Food Handler’s Card) are also required.
