Part Time - Music Instructor

• Develop and deliver instructional lectures for music courses up to 10 hours per week.
• Organize and teach music classes for all levels.
• Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning.
• Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments, including distance learning and accelerated courses.
• Assess student learning outcomes every semester.
• Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired.

• Master’s degree in Music, or Bachelor’s in Music plus Master’s in Humanities, or equivalent.
• Equivalency determination from the District required for candidates not meeting the standard qualifications.
• Preference for candidates with experience teaching music at high school or college level, particularly in choral or musical directing, music history, voice, or piano.

Part‑time positions (< 0.60 FTE) are not entitled to any District‑paid fringe benefits.
