Job Description- Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Agriculture courses up to 10 hours/week
- Organize and teach all levels of Agriculture classes
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester
- Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Master's in agriculture, agriculture science, education with a specialization in agriculture or other agricultural area (including: agricultural business, agricultural engineering, agricultural mechanics, agronomy, animal science, enology, environmental (ornamental) horticulture, equine science, forestry, natural resources, plant science, pomology, soil science, viticulture or other agriculture science)
- OR the equivalent.
- OR the equivalent (Must apply through YCCD's Equivalency Application Process).
- Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching experience which would demonstrate the clear ability to teach Agricultural Studies to community college students.
Range/Step:
Class I - VII (Based on degree and teaching experience).
Steps 1: $1,558.22 - Step 10: $2,609.76 per unit.

Part-time positions less than .60 FTE are not entitled to any District paid fringe benefits.
