Overview
This travel assignment is for a Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery in Clearlake, California.
Start date:
03/02/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,321–$2,493 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Setting: a critical access facility.

03/02/2026 - Setting: travel assignment in a critical access facility
- Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients, including monitoring labor progress and supporting newborn care.
- Monitor fetal status using external and internal monitoring as appropriate; document findings and respond to non-reassuring patterns.
- Administer medications and manage obstetric care per unit protocols; support analgesia and anesthesia as directed.
- Assist with labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and early newborn assessment; perform routine newborn care and parent education.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, nurses, and other members of the care team; lead or participate in rapid response when obstetric emergencies arise.
- Document care in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate charting, accurate handoffs, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Active California RN license
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- 3–4 years of nursing experience; at least 3 months recent labor and delivery specialty experience; additional experience in nursery and postpartum settings is appreciated
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required; AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification must be obtained within six months of employment and recertified every two years
- Basic computer skills; STABLE preferred; familiarity with crash carts and obstetric emergencies
- Ability to work in a travel assignment and adapt to nights and a busy obstetric unit
