Job Summary:
Providing expert nursing care in the Emergency Room, the Registered Nurse plays a vital role in handling critical patient situations with professionalism and compassion. This role involves delivering high-quality, timely interventions and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ condition upon arrival and determine priority of care.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures following established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatments, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications:
- Current California RN license valid for employment.
- Minimum of one year recent RN experience, preferably in ER or ICU settings within the last 12 months.
- Evidence of current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Basic computer skills required for documentation and communication.
- Ability to work the night shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), 36 hours per week.
- Strong physical stamina to perform duties including frequent bending, lifting, and patient transfers.
