The Senior Accountant will assist the team responsible for SEC reporting and technical accounting research. SEC reporting includes the preparation and review of SEC and external filings including but not limited to the 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K (Earnings Release), Investor Presentation, DEF
14A (Proxy). Technical research includes researching complex accounting transactions to ensure they comply with US GAAP and the Company's Uniform Accounting Policies.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in execution and review of SEC filings and external reporting (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and DEF 14A, including XBRL) including management discussion and analysis, description of business, financial statements including footnotes and supporting schedules
- Assist in performing accounting research and advising on global business transactions and technical accounting issues, and support the accounting teams in understanding of accounting research and any applicable updates to U.S GAAP reporting that impacts the Company, including but not limited to Revenue Recognition, Business Combinations, Lease Accounting, Goodwill and Debt.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the Company's Uniform Accounting Policy in accordance with US GAAP/SEC, driving compliance requirements.
- Assist in execution and seek continual improvement of financial reporting controls for Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) purposes.
- Actively participate in the external audit process which includes ensuring audit schedules are prepared and reviewed on a timely basis and the completion of the audit in a timely manner.
- Special projects & other duties may be assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required);
Master's in Accounting or related graduate degree (preferred) - CPA license or actively pursuing CPA designation (strongly preferred)
- 2+ years of professional experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, or public accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Workiva or similar reporting platforms; strong Excel and ERP system skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex accounting issues to diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across global teams and adapt in a fast-changing environment
- High integrity and commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive financial data
- Consistent non-standard work or overtime as business requires.
- On-call availability required as necessary.
- Professional, office environment; hybrid approach where 3 days a week in Clearwater office is required
- Meets attendance and punctuality standards.
