Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

Kforce has a client in Clearwater, FL that is seeking an Accountant.

• Support the preparation and review of external financial reports and related disclosures, including financial statements, narratives, and supporting documentation
• Assist with accounting research and analysis related to business transactions and technical accounting matters, and help communicate applicable accounting guidance to internal teams
• Contribute to the maintenance and documentation of accounting policies and procedures in alignment with applicable accounting standards
• Support compliance with internal controls and financial reporting requirements, including participation in control testing and process improvements
• Assist with audit and review processes by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables
• Participate in special projects and provide additional support as business needs evolve

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (required); advanced degree preferred
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) or progress toward certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or a related area
• Strong proficiency with financial reporting systems, spreadsheets, and enterprise accounting tools
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
• High ethical standards and discretion when handling confidential financial information

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
