Staff Accountant
Clearwater, FL | $65,000-$70,000
We're partnering with a growing organization in Clearwater seeking a hands‑on Staff Accountant who truly understands the mechanics of accounting. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking for stability, impact, and long‑term growth
.
- Perform month‑end close
, including journal entries and work papers - Complete account reconciliations (GL, bank, sub‑ledgers)
- Manage Accounts Receivable
: billing, cash applications, collections - Process customer invoices, credit memos, and RMAs
- Apply daily cash receipts and maintain accurate customer accounts
- Conduct collections and monitor A/R aging (target DSO ~45 days)
- Perform credit reviews, set limits, and manage credit holds
- Support financial analysis, reporting, and special projects
- Work extensively in SAP and Excel
- 4‑7 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (required)
- Degrees in Finance or other fields will not be considered
- Strong Accounts Receivable background (billing, cash apps, collections)
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Detail‑oriented, accountable, and proactive
