Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting general accounting operations, managing fixed assets and lease accounting, preparing reconciliations, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting special projects. The position offers significant exposure to leadership and the opportunity to play a key role in the company's accounting function.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger activities and account reconciliations during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules
- Research and resolve account discrepancies
- Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capital projects, depreciation, transfers, and disposals
- Maintain lease accounting records and ensure proper accounting treatment
- Support external audit requests and coordinate audit deliverables
- Research technical accounting matters and prepare accounting documentation
- Assist with process improvement and automation initiatives
- Partner with department leaders to provide financial guidance and reporting support
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end and year-end close processes
- Fixed asset accounting experience
- Lease accounting experience
- Strong account reconciliation and general ledger experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and XLOOKUPs
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, or similar platforms
- CPA or CMA designation
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Experience working in multi-location environments
- Consolidation experience
- Experience supporting external audits
- Process improvement and automation experience
