Director of Operations - State Attorney's Office, Sixth Judicial Circuit
This position works within Administration at the State Attorney's Office. They will be responsible for many operational and logistical aspects of running the office and report directly to the Executive Director. Though helpful, preexisting knowledge of the prosecution process is not a requisite for this role, however, a keen operational and organized mindset are. A successful candidate should be comfortable dealing with varying levels of management and acting as a liaison to many external agencies.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Management of office inventory, furniture, offices, and floorplan
- Lead on all administrative reports and compliance measures required by the office, such as Bar dues, taxable benefits, and records.
- Management of logistical operations such as the office fleet, witness travel, employee travel
- Liaison with county departments like Facility Management and Clerk's Office
- Liaison with state agencies such as the Department of Management Services
- Management of office agreements and Memorandums of Understanding
- Point of Contact for vendors such as Westlaw, Xerox, and specialists such as Court Reporters
- Organization of professional training for attorneys and support staff
- Knowledge of Florida procurement laws, rules, procedures, and systems
- Knowledge of techniques for handling office correspondence, and telephone calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Ability to write professionally using proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation, manage time and prioritized workload issues.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications used for tracking and reporting.
- Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets and reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
