Summary

Responsible for generating new installation projects for alarm systems through electrical contractors and end users, estimating project cost based on labor, equipment, and materials, and securing the monitoring/service contract following the installation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and maintain quality clients within the Fire Alarm market that align with the growth strategy of the business.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain market‑specific business plans for growth.
  • Service existing accounts to maximize service and account retention while cross‑selling across multiple product offerings.
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Estimate projects, including fixed‑price services, for projects ranging from $100k to $1MM+.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain oversight and responsibility for all projects within the portfolio.
Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university and 3+ years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior fire alarm or low voltage sales experience is required.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS Systems (prefer Ulti Pro).
