SummaryResponsible for generating new installation projects for alarm systems through electrical contractors and end users, estimating project cost based on labor, equipment, and materials, and securing the monitoring/service contract following the installation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Identify, develop, and maintain quality clients within the Fire Alarm market that align with the growth strategy of the business.
- Develop, implement, and maintain market‑specific business plans for growth.
- Service existing accounts to maximize service and account retention while cross‑selling across multiple product offerings.
- Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Estimate projects, including fixed‑price services, for projects ranging from $100k to $1MM+.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Maintain oversight and responsibility for all projects within the portfolio.
Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university and 3+ years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior fire alarm or low voltage sales experience is required.
Computer SkillsMicrosoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS Systems (prefer Ulti Pro).
